Beck isn’t one to rest on his laurels. Just a day after hinting at new music, the singer has posted a 15-second clip of his new single, “Dreams,” on his Instagram. Take a listen below:

The super-short audio is accompanied by the moving animation that the singer-songwriter shared yesterday (June 11). And despite the clip's brevity, it proves "Dreams" doesn't sound anything like the lush, melancholic Morning Phase, Beck's most recent album, which earned him the 2015 Grammy for Album of the Year.

Beck confirmed as much during an interview with the L.A. radio station Alt 98.7, saying, "["Dreams"] started out as a heavy garage rock thing and became much more of a dance -- some kind of hybrid” (via Consequence of Sound). During the conversation, Beck also revealed that “Dreams” is, in fact, the first song to emerge from his next album, which he says he's been working on for the past couple of years. Listen to the complete interview:

According to that interview, Beck wants to familiarize fans with his new material, which he will likely debut during his upcoming tour. He’s scheduled to play a concert in Cork, Ireland, on June 16 followed by more European dates. See a complete list on his website.

Pittsburgh’s WYEP radio station will reportedly premiere "Dreams" in its entirety this Monday (June 15) at noon ET.

"Dreams" isn't the only new music from Beck, either. The singer recently appeared on "What This World Is Coming To," a song from Nate Ruess' solo debut, Grand Romantic, which will arrive on June 16.
