If you're attending the Legacy graduation tonight, big changes were announced by the WFISD.

Incoming Storms Change Graduation Venue

First off, congratulations to the class of 2025 for Legacy and Memorial High schools. For both schools these will be the first ever graduates to come out of our new high schools. Graduation ceremonies were scheduled to take place for both schools at Memorial Stadium. Legacy will have theirs tonight, while Memorial has theirs tomorrow.

Earlier today, we warned you about some potential severe weather moving into Wichita Falls. Looks like the rain is scheduled to start around 3PM and with Legacy's graduation set to take place outside at Memorial Stadium. They have moved the ceremony indoors to Kay Yeager Coliseum.

What About Memorial High School Graduation?

As of right now, the plan is to keep Memorial's ceremony the same at Memorial Stadium on Friday night. However, if they need to move to a new indoor venue due to weather. Apparently Burkburnett ISD already has Kay Yeager Coliseum reserved on Friday for their graduation. Memorial will hold theirs on Saturday instead at 9AM. This is just the backup plan, but Friday night at Memorial Stadium is still in place for Memorial

For parents or students with any question or concerns about the graduation ceremony. Contacts are available at the WFISD website for both high schools. For anyone unable to attend the ceremony, but still want to support a student. It will be live streamed at wfisd.net/youtube the day of the ceremony.
