Korn’s Ray Luzier: ‘Disregard What I Said’ About a March Album

Remember when Korn drummer Ray Luzier said that the band would release their new album in March? Well, scratch that because, if he's to be believed, the successor to 2016's The Serenity of Suffering, does not have a tentative release date yet.

The good news is that Korn are indeed working on a new record and the tracking process is underway. Luzier posted a brief video on Instagram, surveying the studio from the computer monitors to the soundboard to his drum kit, exclaiming "Tracking madness!" He also stated, "BTW, disregard what I said in the Sabian interview [where the March release was revealed], there’s no release date yet kids!"

Following reports on Luzier's comments about the March album, Sabian withdrew their video interview with the drummer, which was shot on September 13 at the Hollywood Palladium where Korn performed one of three shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Follow the Leader album.

In August, Korn announced they had begun tracking new material, linking back up with producer Nick Raskulinecz, who produced The Serenity of Suffering, at Rock Falcon Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. While they continue to work on the album, singer Jonathan Davis will be busy promoting Black Labyrinth, his debut solo album, on a fall North American tour which runs from October 6 through November 10. A list of stops can be found at this location.
