
Wichita Falls Woman Bites Woman’s Thumb Off During Altercation
Wichita Falls police confirmed the victim is missing the tip of her thumb after the incident.
This week Wichita Falls police officially charged 21-year-old Kambrasia Latina Janice Penigar. She was involved in an incident back on October 12. Kambrasia claims she was 'carving sticks' outside of an apartment on that date. One of the residents of the apartment came outside to question Kambrasia about the mess she was making while doing this and a fight ensued.
According to Wichita Falls police it was a woman and her daughter that confronted Kambrasia. The daughter at one point in time reached around Kambrasia's head as she was attempting to pull her hair. The daughter's hand was near Kambrasia's mouth and Kambrasia decided to bite down on her thumb.
Victim Taken to United Regional
Police met up with victim of the assault and told officers a similar story to what Kambrasia had told them. The victim showed officers her thumb and they confirmed the tip of the thumb was missing. Doctors were not able to re-attach the tip to the thumb. She was then taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment according to KFDX.
Kambrasia Latina Janice Penigar Official Charges
Kambrasia would be taken to the Wichita County Jail on November 5th for Aggravated Assault that Caused Serious Bodily Harm. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
What are the Charges for This Crime in Texas?
According to the Texas Penal Code, Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury is a second-degree felony, punishable between two to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. We will wait and see what happens to Kambrasia at a later date.
