This week Jenna Marbles is making a valid point that many of us with smart phones can relate to. She feels like apps are ruining her life. Like any addiction, she continues to feed it every day, and questions why she’s doing it.

This is something that I can relate to. Since getting my iPhone, I’ve discovered the joys of Angry Birds, then Angry Birds Seasons, then Angry Birds Rio, then of course Angry Birds Space. Words with Friends, Family Feud, Scramble, Office Jerk, and Temple Run are among some of the other apps that have sucked time from me. Every morning I have to check my “restaurant” and take food off the stove, then collect tips and tip out my neighbor’s restaurants, leading to more time spent than I care to admit on a game that has absolutely no payoff. Don't even get me started on Facebook. Now I don't have to wait until I get home and sit in front of a computer, now I can stalk people anywhere I go!

Yes, I truly can relate. So can my family.

There are apps that are useful, however. The ESPN app updates me on games that I want to follow, the Weather Channel app gives me radar right at my fingertips, and the Star Chart gives me the lowdown when someone looks at the night sky and wonders what planet or star they’re looking at. Radio Pup allows me to listen to the Buzz when I’m not around a radio, and that’s not a plug – I actually use it.

Jenna talks about a number of apps that I’ve heard of, but her vlog hasn’t done much to help me. Now I want to check out Monopoly because I’m questioning if it really is that fun, but I realize that downloading yet another game is just a bad idea.

Where do you sit on apps? Do you love them, hate them, or avoid them?

***Jenna likes to say what's on her mind and she uses the F-bomb a lot. If you're offended by such language, this may not be the video for you.***
