15 New Rock + Metal Tours Announced This Past Week

It was a pretty active week for smaller rock and metal tours. We've got 15 new tours to reveal along with details on when the next Inkcarceration Festival will be held.

Leading the way this week, we've got a killer double bill featuring Quicksand and Fucked Up. The two veteran acts will hit the road in mid-September carrying over into early October.

Jim Ward will be front and center with Sparta for a series of November shows that will feature support from Public Opinion.

Meanwhile guitar great Jared James Nichols is getting in a short post-Thanksgiving run that carries over into early December.

* The Inkcarceration Tattoo + Music Festival will return to the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio the weekend of July 16-18, 2027. Pre-sales start today (Aug. 21) at 12N ET.

* The 8th Annual Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards will take place Sept. 20 at the Orleans Showroom in the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Among those honored will be Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Michael Anthony, Mitch Malloy, DJ Ashba, Chris Kael, Craig Gass, Eddie Trunk, Franky Perez, Gilby Clarke, Zowie Bowie, Armored Saint, Heroine Honey and Pure Sport. Sammy Hagar is also set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
