Jelly Roll Singing ‘Save Me’ in the Pouring Rain Is Today’s Feel-Good Video

Jelly Roll made it rain during his tour-opening show in Salt Lake City this week. Then, he did it again in Idaho.

The "I Am Not Okay" singer closed both shows with "Save Me." Video shows him standing in the pouring rain on both nights, which is super strange, because this is an arena tour.

Several people on social media asked questions like this: "Was the rain a paid actor or did Jelly Roll really hit mother nature in her feelings?"

Others offered a variation of "I was there, it was EPIC" with three fire emojis.

The moment recalls something Taylor Swift brought to her tour in 2008 and 2009. The feat was debuted at the 43rd Annual ACM Awards when an acoustic performance of "Should've Said No" ended with jets of rain crashing down on the stage.

Swift was able to go next level and actually spell words in her rainmaker.

It's not clear that Jelly Roll has interest in the same, but a second video from Salt Lake City finds the point when the jets turn on. No one in the audience scurries as you'd expect in a storm. Really, nobody even seems to be getting wet.

Carrie Underwood also brings a rain effect to her Las Vegas residency, but it's hard to understand the challenge of setting that up night after night in a new city. One has to imagine Jelly Roll has a truck filled with mops following him around the country.

The Beautifully Broken Tour will be in Washington on Friday and Saturday before heading to Oregon on Sunday. It's an aggressive schedule, with 18 shows planned for September and another 15 in October.
