If you're like me, you worked for seven years in the City of Wichita Falls Public Information Office and had to watch every single City Council Meeting, twice a month, every month, and now you never want to have to sit through one of those suckers again.

Oh, just me?

Well, regardless, the fine folks over at the Public Information Office are doing all of us a solid by providing a recap of each of the two monthly sessions on their Facebook page. You can watch this week's city council recap by scrolling to the bottom of this article.

Quick City Council Wrap from WF Public Information Office

This was the first City Council meeting of the month, so they started by recognizing the December Employee of the Month, Ken Bosma, an IT administrator.

The council also approved renaming a park-within-a-park and part of a street. Eddie Hill RC Airpark is now officially located inside Lake Wichita Park. And part of Warren Street will be renamed to honor the late Angus Thompson, who was a city councilman, a community leader, and someone who made a big impact. The part being renamed is right in front of the church where he served.
