If you're a soccer fan living in Texas, 2026 is going to be a big banner year for you. I came across some info recently that lays out plans for World Cup 2026. It's going to be huge. One little detail stood out to me more than others. Some Texas cities got a name drop.

Is the biggest World Cup in history really coming to Texas in 2026? Yes.

Checking out the FIFA webpage that gives details regarding World Cup 2026, it lays out some pretty ambitious plans. It's going to be a massive tournament.

One interesting fact is that it will be hosted by three countries; Canada, United States, and Mexico. According to the website, it's going to be the biggest in history.

World Cup In The Lone Star State

Looking through the list of cities on the website, there were a couple of names that stood out. It looks like two Texas cities will be hosting matches.

If you're wanting to get close to the World Cup, make plans to hang out in Dallas and Houston.

The tournament will be held between June and July, with the final set for Sunday, July 19, 2026.

I'm not a soccer fan by any stretch of the imagination. It's just never really captured my attention. I am, however, well aware of the prestige of the World Cup and the importance of it.

So, while I may not be itching to get a ticket myself, I am pretty proud of the fact that two cities in Texas will be hosting matches in one of the world's biggest sporting events.
