You hear it all the time. Things are bigger in Texas. It's true. There are plenty of things I can think of that are Texas-sized. From the tallest building in Houston to the largest football field at Texas A&M. Things in Texas are huge.

Unfortunately, that also means crime.

Texas is home to some of the most horrible acts of crime ever seen and I've got some convincing proof. What you are about to read should give no doubt as to that. Come along with me as we take a look at just some of these crimes. Warning: the below stories are graphic and disturbing. Proceed at your own risk.

The Waco Siege

After a shootout between law enforcement and the religious group, a cease-fire was arranged but not before killing four ATF agents and six Branch Davidians. Close to 900 law enforcement officials stormed the compound and the siege did end. Only 9 Branch Davidians survived while 80 people were found dead inside, including many children.

Dean Corll AKA The Candy Man

This is a bad man. He picked up his nickname because his family used to own a candy-making business. His target was young males who would get lured into his home where they would be raped and beaten. Things could go on for days before he would finally shoot or strangle his victims. The bodies would get thrown into mass graves. As a final kicker, he made the boys write letters explaining their absence which threw off the police. He was convicted of 28 murders of young boys.
