The only thing that blew up was this guy's plans, right in his face.

In the worst vacation blunder since the words "National Lampoon's" appeared before it, a married man in India faked a story about a terrorist hijacking to get out of going on holiday with his girlfriend.

Real ladies man Motaparthi Vamshi Krishna, 32, was so desperate to worm his way out of going away with his mistress that he created a new email address, from which he told officials he had overheard some men discussing plans to hijack planes at various airport in India.

Authorities traced the email back to Krishna and he eventually copped to the ridiculous scheme. He claims to have not had any money to go away with his side dish, so he whipped up a phony plane ticket to send to the girlfriend and then contacted the police with his cockamamie story.

"He didn't have the money, but if he cancelled because of that, it would have hurt his pride, and his friendship with the girl would've come to an end," said one police officer. "So, his thinking was that if the flight was to be cancelled and it was because of the airport, he wouldn't be at fault."

Pretty smart thinking, pal. With smarts like this, we're amazed he ever won over one woman, let alone two.
