You can be whatever you want for Halloween, but if your wife is the Mayor, may want to think twice before deciding on that costume.

A lot of people out there want to have costumes that offend and honestly I could care less. It's Halloween dress up as whatever the hell you want. Just remember if you're someone in power or famous, you're going to be judged for that costume. For instance Mayor Theresa Sharp of Lahoma, Oklahoma.

Her husband, Cary Sharp, with some friends, decided to dress up as members of the Ku Klux Klan. They also placed a cross beside a fire in rural Oklahoma. The costume is bad enough, but the cross and fire? Really man? Well the Mayor is attempting to defend her husbands actions, since many are calling for her resignation because of this.

"I have no intention of doing so," she said, adding that her husband had simply made "some very bad choices. It's four good ol' boys sitting around drinking and things got out of control."

Sharp said that neither she nor her husband are affiliated with the Klan, and that she was "devastated" and "embarrassed" by her husband's costume. "They didn't see the harm in dressing up as the KKK, in comparison to other people dressing up as murderers and bombers," she said.
