Probably going to get some negative feedback out of this, but Halloween is not the same.

Trick or Treating Dead in Wichita Falls?

I don't know if this is just my neighborhood, but I had literally zero trick or treaters in Wichita Falls on Halloween. I had candy ready to go while I was watching horror movies on Thursday and not one knock at the door. Last year, I had one and the mom that was with the kid thanked me for having candy. Apparently people in my neighborhood last year were not giving out candy and still left their porch lights on. If you do this, you're a jerk plain and simple.

Has Trunk or Treating Ruined Halloween?

I happen to agree with Dallas Braden here, at least for my neighborhood in Wichita Falls as well. Halloween night is DEAD in the neighborhoods. I don't see any kids walking around with their parents getting candy and having fun. This was literally my favorite holiday as a kid and I think people just go to a Trunk or Treating instead. Nothing wrong with doing that AND still walking the neighborhoods. What kid doesn't want more candy?

Fun Fact: Reeses Pumpkins Are 85 Calories a Piece

I am also writing this in shame since I had no trick or treaters, that candy was just staring at me every time I opened my fridge. I ate an entire BAG of Reeses Pumpkins on Sunday which is something that no one should ever do, but I bought them for the kids. So my question to Wichita Falls, is trunk or treating the thing now and should I stop buying candy? It's a sad day if my favorite holiday is now taking place in some parking lots around town.
