Brace Yourself: Texas Storms Show No Signs of Slowing
If you thought Texas was through getting pummeled by hail this year, think again. I can’t remember a year in which the hail was so bad. Everyone in the state is going to need a new roof when it’s all said and done.
We were pummeled by golf ball-sized hail here in Wichita Falls back in April. Roofing companies and body shops in the area have been working almost nonstop since then. The roofing company we’re using was three months out at the time.
Both of our family vehicles were parked outside when the storm hit, so we’re on the list to have them repaired as well. Some folks will tell you it’s best to wait until around the middle of the summer to get your vehicle repaired, so you don’t have to have it done twice.

Storm Season Feels Never-Ending
However, it’s starting to feel like it’s always storm season around here, so why wait? Don’t get me wrong – there has always been the threat of severe weather year-round in this part of the country. It’s just that I can’t recall a time when it was this bad.
As you can see in the video below, Melissa was hit by an intense hailstorm over the weekend. Hopefully, the weather will let up and give us a bit of a break sometime soon, but I wouldn’t bet money on it. It’s liable to be a rough rest of the year around here.
