In case you missed it over the weekend. The Lone Star Kart Nationals took place in downtown Wichita Falls and one driver showed his perspective during a race.

I was scrolling for fun things to do in Wichita Falls last week and this caught my attention. Go kart racing at the J.S. Bridwell Ag Center. It was a fun two day event and sadly I could not attend, but thankfully a driver attached a camera to their helmet. So I could see what it looks like from their end and I won't lie. Looks like an amazing day.

We have racing events all the time in Wichita Falls and I know for a fact I could never do them. However, go karts are more my speed and I could definitely see myself being a professional go kart driver. These things however go a lot quicker than the ones at Family Fun Zone.

What you actually just saw was the first place finish for this particular race. According to the Midwest Racing Series website, Gary McMennamy took first place in this particular race on Friday and this is his YouTube page. Apparently he is out of Lubbock, but some local Texoma folks also took part in the races over the weekend. Honestly looks like a fun night out if you ever need something to do in Wichita Falls.
