They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. After eating my own cooking most of my life I'm inclined to agree with that. We're pretty much just like stray puppies, if you feed us we're yours forever.

Well, that's mostly true.

I recently became aware of this story of a young lady named Juliette who has come up with a novel way of preparing steaks for her boyfriend. She uses a toaster.

Not a toaster oven, just your plain old, two slot, drop the bread in the top, toaster. It's only a bad idea if it doesn't work, right?

She was so proud of her idea that she posted it on TikTok. Social media being what social media it is, the video quickly went viral.

She plops the uncooked steaks into the slots, sets the toaster to Medium, and waits until they're brown on the outside. Then places them onto a plate, adds what looks like a lot of sauce, and dives in.

Needless to say the video drew a lot of comments, with some even tagging celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay.

Here's how Gordon recommends preparing the perfect steak.

I haven't seen Juliette's boyfriend's response to his sweetheart's culinary skills, but now that I think of it, that might make a great video on its own.

I've got a steak or two stashed in the freezer, maybe I'll thaw some out this weekend. I'm no pro chef in the kitchen, but I'll probably try it Gordon Ramsay's way. His suggestions don't even look all that complicated.
