Fran Strine, director and co-producer of the upcoming documentary Shame on America, talked with me today about the project. It’s a film that will focus on veterans returning from war, and the issues that some face with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The documentary is being co-produced with Aaron Lewis, front man for Staind, and narrated by David Ellefson, bassist for Megadeth.

Veterans who are seeking help are faced with a backlog of claims at the VA, and though help is out there, enough isn’t being done to get these men and women the help they need. Strine looks to examine why our veterans are falling through the cracks, and what we can do to help.

This is a Kickstarter project, which means that anyone can donate to help finance the project. They’re over half way to their goal, and any amount, even as little as $1, is appreciated.
