Fort Worth to Celebrate Birthday With 2,000-Foot-Long Slip-n-Slide [VIDEO]
Is there a better way to celebrate a summer birthday than with an enormous slip-n-slide through the city? We say nay!
Fort Worth will be throwing a party on June 6 for its birthday this summer. The celebration is called PantherFest and will feature a 2,000-foot-long slip-n-slide that will be set up on Main Street Bridge.
Mayor Betsy Price says she can't think of a better way to commemorate Fort Worth's birthday than transforming Paddock Viaduct Bridge on North Main Street into a large water slide. You can see the slip-n-slide in action in the video above.
The festival will also include local craft beer, music, and foods from Fort Worth-based restaurants.
Admission to PantherFest is free, but if you want to take a crack at the giant slip-n-slide, you'll have to buy a ticket from the city. Tickets go on sale February 20.
