Well dammit...this must be the week that bassists lose their minds. In case you hadn't heard, Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd was arrested for armed robbery of a Walgreens last Sunday and now former Queens of the Stone Age and current Kyuss Lives! bassist Nick Oliveri was in a standoff with the Los Angeles S.W.A.T. team at his home in Hollywood last night.

According to TMZ.com, the cops were called to Oliveri's house by a neighbor because of a disturbance between he and his girlfriend. After a two-hour standoff between the bassist and the S.W.A.T. team he finally agreed to let the cops in and his girlfriend out.

His girlfriend reportedly told the police that he had hit her the day before during an argument and she was there to get her stuff and move out.

After a search of his home, the cops reportedly found a fully loaded high-powered rifle.

Oliveri was arrested for felony domestic violence and was later released after posting $100,000 bail.
