Killeen, Texas Restaurant Receiving Backlash Over Racist Signs in Dining Room
Sitting down for a meal at this place, you never know what you're going to expect.
Ever Been to Ferrari-Pizza Pasta Subs?
Apparently this restaurant has been open since 1958. The owner likes to keep it old school. I can't find any social media for this place or even a website. The inside of the restaurant is also looking like it's out of the 1950's with some signage that many find offensive.
Ferrari-Pizza Pasta Subs Dining Room
Sitting down for meal at this place and you're greeted with some...interesting choices for decor. Robert Ferrari says his patrons have hung up different things throughout the years in the restaurant. Ferrari told News 6 he has freedom of speech and is able to post whatever he wants in his establishment. "God gave us freedom of speech and freedom of choice," Ferrari said. "You can read a sentence and take it how you want to take it and I can do the same."
Based on the reviews from Yelp, many people seem to agree with two things. The food here is amazing. Seriously, even if people are offended by the signage in this place, they seem to agree that the food is really good.
In reading several reviews on Yelp, I believe user 2Ga G has the three rules when it comes to this place.
1) Bring Cash
2) No Cell Phones
3) Leave your sensitivity at the door, or just don't go in.
I think at this point, it's clear this guy isn't changing his ways. He's been doing his thing for several decades in Killeen at this point and it seems like people like his food. They may not agree with his beliefs, but he makes a damn good sandwich.
