Popular Wichita Falls Arcade Announces They’re Closing Next Month
Say it ain't so!
Well I was having a good Christmas yesterday when all of the sudden I saw an announcement from the arcade in Wichita Falls called The Deep End. It was short, simple, and to the point.
Our lease ends in January and we aren't going to re-new it. Its time to retire. Thank you for 10 Great years
That's what The Deep End put on their Facebook page last and I honestly thought it was a joke at first because The Deep End enjoys trolling folks in Wichita Falls. Example below.
Yes, The Deep End loves to troll us in Wichita Falls and they have been doing it for years. So I decided to directly reach out to one of their owners Jason Hester to confirm and sadly the post on their Facebook page is real. The Deep End will be closing in Wichita Falls.
Why is The Deep End Closing in Wichita Falls?
Jason told me now that he has started a family. It's tough to put in the same hours at The Deep End. He started this business when he was single and now that he has family it's tough to dedicate hours to The Deep End and them. Be sure you go visit The Deep End the next few weeks for some drinks and arcade games before they close for good.
Support Local Arcades in Wichita Falls!
If you're looking for another place to play games at in Wichita Falls when The Deep End is gone. Maniac's Mansion downtown is a great place to go if you want to support local. Family Fun Zone on Southwest Parkway has an arcade as well. However, Maniac's Mansion is like The Deep End. Pay an entrance fee and play all the games you want til they close.
Go check out The Deep End if you have never been at 5120 Green Briar Road in the Dollar Tree Plaza right across from Walmart.
