With the tragedy that happened in Kansas City this week, I was curious how other Super Bowl parades went. Turns out our Dallas Cowboys had a riot break out at one.

Let's Go Back to First Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl of the 90's

Back on January 31, 1993 the Dallas Cowboys would defeat the Buffalo Bills for their third ever Super Bowl win. It would have been over a decade since the Dallas Cowboys were considered the best in the NFL and fans were ready to party at the Super Bowl Parade in Dallas. Unfortunately some fans took it too far on February 9,1993.

After this parade in Dallas, rules were changed for Super Bowl parades. It's crazy to think about this, but back in the day fans were mere inches from their favorite players driving down the road in Dallas. Fans jumped the barricade and were literally in the street of the parade route. Dallas police were overwhelmed by the attendance back in the day.

Teens Attack Random Fans

As with many Super Bowl parades local schools cancel class so students can attend. Looks like some teens took this day off to be a-hole teens and start randomly attacking fans in the crowd.

At the end of the day, 14 people were arrested, 24 people were hospitalized, and if that wasn't enough. One car was allegedly set on fire during this chaos. Although this is nothing even close as to what happened in Kansas City this week. It's still crazy to me that anyone would want to start anything at a Super Bowl parade. This should be a celebration where everyone in the city should be coming together.
