What To Expect At Wichita Falls' New Dog Park Opening Event

As the weather is getting nicer, we will have a new place to take our four legged friends in Wichita Falls.

Well for years dog owners in Wichita Falls have loved the dog park off of Fairway Boulevard since it opened in 2011. The one complaint, when can we get another dog park in town? Well good news, residents on the other side of town can drive a little closer to the Conoco Dog Park.

Technically Conoco Dog Park Has Been Open Since January

The city officially unveiled that the new park was open for business back on January 16th. However, they said to stay tuned for an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. That will be taking place this Wednesday March 4, 2026 at 3PM. The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department has some fun activities planned for the event.

Conoco Dog Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Not only will we will have an official opening for the new dog park. They plan on having a Saint Patrick's themed dog parade, so bust out the green for your dog. Plus, if you're interested in bringing a new dog home, they will have some available for adoption checking out the new park as well.

Where is Conoco Dog Park in Wichita Falls?

1200 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd is where the newest dog park is located. For folks who live closer to Southwest Parkway in Wichita Falls. You can of course still take advantage of the original dog park located at 5205 Fairway Boulevard. Friendly reminder to always have dogs up to date on their latest shots and vaccinations when using either dog park. Also, remember to clean up after your own dog as well.
