Wichita Falls has some awesome Christmas traditions and one of our favorites is back on Saturday. The 2024 City Lights Parade is kicking off just a few days before Christmas. Obviously the parade is the big event everybody thinks of, but you can make a whole day out of what is happening in downtown Wichita Falls.

Santa Land 4PM to 7PM

Before the parade kicks off, you can meet the Big Guy himself. 8th Street and Scott Avenue turns into Santa Land. Your family can play games, enjoy live music, plus vendors will be out with awesome Christmas gifts.

Photos With Santa

If you haven't gotten your photo with Santa yet, don't worry you can get one from 4pm to 6:30pm. Santa has to wrap up those photos at 6:30 because he has something very important to do before the parade.

Story Time With Santa

Right before the parade kicks off, Santa will read a story to the kids. In year's past, it has been 'The Night Before Christmas'. This will be happening at 6:45 PM in the same location as well.

Downtown Farmer's Market Will Be Open As Well

You can check out more vendors at the Downtown Farmer's Market at 8th and Ohio. Local vendors will be selling goods. Hot chocolate and smores will also be available. 9th Street and Indiana Avenue will also have vendors setup. Honestly, just walk around downtown on Saturday, many businesses stay open later with all the people downtown for the parade. Take a stroll and enjoy the night.

City Lights Parade Route for 2024

If you're new to Wichita Falls, here is where the parade will run through downtown. You can also see where the other Christmas themed activities are going on that night. With less than a week til Christmas, The City Lights Parade is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
