Going shopping at Walmart, you may cross paths with someone outside raising money for their organization. When done the right way, it can be an easy way to help out in Wichita Falls. Something as simple as buying girl scout cookies or boy scouts selling popcorn. Unfortunately, we have some scammers in Wichita Falls using a local organization to steal money right now.

Boys and Girls Club NOT Collecting Money at Local Walmart

The Boys and Girls Club were asked about a recent fundraiser at a Walmart in Wichita Falls and they were unaware anything was going on to raise money for their basketball program. After doing some further digging, they have confirmed no such fundraiser exists and if you donated money it is NOT going to the Boys and Girls Club. Looking at the comments on the post, one citizen confirmed this was at the Walmart off of Southwest Parkway here in Wichita Falls. The Boys and Girls Club has warned our local Walmarts to not allow these scammers on their property.

You could purchase something on that list and donate it at the proper location. You can also make monetary donations as well.
