The two infamous gangsters apparently liked to relax in the Wichita Mountains at one point in time and you can spend the night there too.

Bonnie and Clyde Death Scene

Yesterday was the anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde's infamous death in Louisiana. The two gangsters robbed and murdered all over Texas and as far north as Minnesota. It's unclear how many bullets were actually fired by police when these two were killed. Officers say they used three different types of guns on the suspects. They used automatic rifles first, then shotguns, then their pistols to make sure these two were killed.

Bonnie and Clyde's Connection to Wichita Falls?

I actually wrote a story last year on a woman in Wichita Falls that helped Bonnie and Clyde hideout in our town from law enforcement back in the day. They apparently had a hideout in what would be the old Neon Spur building in downtown Wichita Falls. You can read more about that here if you're interested.

In researching more Bonnie and Clyde stories, I found out you can supposedly spend the night in the same cottage the infamous duo slept in back in the day. This residence could have been used to plan one of their infamous robberies or the two could have just enjoyed the scenic views in Medicine Park on a day off from killing. It was hard to find availability on this particular property, but if it is open you can get it for $135 a night. It sleeps six and has the old Medicine Park cottage feel. Check out more photos of the property below.

Can You Pronounce ALL These Texas Towns Correctly?

Texas is home to 970 cities, 228 towns, and 23 villages if you can believe it. Some of them are harder to pronounce than others and even some Texans that have lived here their whole lives may be doing some of these wrong. So let's make sure you don't look like an idiot on your next road trip through our great state.
