Blue Bell Eyes Comeback, Plans Ice Cream Trial Run
Many thought the day would never come, but now, Texas-based ice cream company Blue Bell says it will be launching a trial run soon at a Sylacauga, Alabama facility.
According to a statement on Blue Bell Creameries' official website Wednesday (July 8), the company hopes to begin test production of ice cream in the next several weeks.
No firm date is set for the test production. There's also no word on when consumers can expect to see Blue Bell ice cream back on store shelves.
"We have been working diligently to prepare our facilities to resume test production, and our focus throughout this process has been to ensure the public that when our products return to market, they are safe," said Greg Bridges, vice president of operations for Blue Bell. "We are very excited about taking these important first steps as part of the process of getting high-quality Blue Bell products back to consumers."
