Black Stone Cherry ‘Me and Mary Jane’ – Crank It or Yank It?

We're still a couple of months away from the release of Black Stone Cherry's new record Magic Mountain (May 6), but the guys have given us a taste of what is to come with 'Me and Mary Jane'.

When it comes to the rock crowd, ya can't go wrong with a good ol' weed smoking song. Not that everyone who digs rock is a pothead, but I bet 99.9% of the people who listen to the Buzz have had a toke or two along the way.

That being said, the marijuana thing is anything but a gimmick when it comes to 'Me and Mary Jane'. It's actually one of the better tunes I've heard from Black Stone Cherry in a long time - dare I say the best I've heard since 'Lonely Train' and 'Rain Wizard' from the band's self-titled debut album. Considering the fact that Black Stone Cherry have seen plenty of success in the years since the release of their debut, that could bode well for the band.
