Two Texas Drive In Movie Theaters Nominated for Best in the Country
Perfect time to support your favorite drive in movie theater. However, two in our state are potentially receiving some national recognition.

It's crazy to think at one point in time Texas had over 400 drive in movie theater locations in the state. Sadly, that number has shrunk to 20 remaining in Texas. Still, one of the best ways to experience a movie on lovely night in my opinion. USA Today is ranking the best drive in theaters in America and two Texas drive ins have the potential to make the top ten.
Coyote Drive In (Fort Worth, Texas)
What's unique about this Texas drive in, they actually have four screens playing multiple movies a night. Could be a new release or a classic movie. Before the movies start for the night, the venue also has live music and a classic video game area to go relax in. As with many drive ins, the offer food. This place though offers beer and wine as well.
Stars and Stripes Drive In (New Braunfels, Texas)
The only other Texas drive in nominated is over in New Braunfels. The Stars and Stripes Drive In has three screens playing multiple movies a night. They have a 50 styles cafe that takes you back to when drive ins ruled the country. Apparently the hand spun milkshakes are a must try if you visit.
How Can You Support Your Favorite Drive In?
First, you should vote in the poll to help support these Texas drive ins. Getting them some national attention is always a good thing. Second, make a trip this summer and visit one. Seriously, if you have a movie you're looking forward to seeing, nothing better than watching it under the stars one weekend. Plus getting some delicious food along with it, what could be better than that?
