If you're asking yourself what the hell is diamond status (don't worry I didn't know either) it's selling ten million records. Holy crap, that's a lot.

It's been about thirty years since License to Ill first hit the scene. According to the RIAA this month the Beastie Boys debut album will join some pretty elite company. Licensed To Ill joins nine other albums to achieve the illustrious accolade, including Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP, 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, and Outkast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

License to Ill has some of the best Beastie Boys songs in my opinion and I will put some of them below. Billboard has also stated this is the first rap record to top their charts. Looks like the remaining members of the Beastie Boys are staying hard at work and it's nice to know people are still buying the classics.
