Help Send Wichita Falls High School Bands to London for Parade
Both Memorial and Legacy high schools are trying to go to London this year and in a few weeks they have a big event coming up to raise some money.
Here is something you may not know. On New Year's Day every year since 1987, London has put on a parade. It's the largest New Year's Day parade in the world attracting one million live spectators and millions watching on 250 different TV stations around the world. Looks like our Wichita Falls high school marching bands have been invited to perform at the parade.
It was back in November of 2024, where the two high schools announced they would both be going across the pond to participate in this massive event. Obviously sending two separate marching bands to London is not cheap, so the WFISD has been looking for sponsors and other fundraising events to help send these kids to this parade. A big one is coming up in a few weeks.
