All of us think of The University of Texas at Austin. It is also home to Huston-Tillotson University, St. Edward’s University and Concordia University.

Wallethub said, "Austin also has a great economic environment, with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. and the 27th-best annual job growth rate, allowing students to easily find work while in school or helping them transition to a job immediately after." Best Midsize College Town in Texas? Plano

Austin won for best large town. For midsize towns Plano came in at top for Texas, but that would only be 24th in the entire country. Tempe, Arizona is considered the best midsize college town. Plano is home to Collin College and The Chicago School.

Best Small College Town in Texas? College Station

Let the battle between Longhorns and Aggies rage on. College Station was named the best small college town in Texas. Unfortunately they would come in at fourteen on the list for the entire country. The best small college town is Ann Arbor, Michigan. Wallethub says that Ann Arbor is the second best college town in the country, even with their small population size.
