Archie Manning Wants Grandson to Play for the Dallas Cowboys
Grandpa knows best.

We're probably a few years away from seeing Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning in the NFL. His grandfather, former NFL quarterback Archie Manning was asked which NFL team he would like to see his grandson play for. He does hope he stays a Longhorn for three more years, but after that?
Arch Manning to the Dallas Cowboys?
Obviously Archie Manning can't control who drafts his grandson. You may remember back in 2004 the San Diego Chargers drafted Archie's son Eli and he refused to play for them. This is allegedly due to Archie having a huge influence on his son and how the Chargers treated Ryan Leaf as the number one overall pick a few years before that. Looks like grandpa wouldn't mind his grandson in silver and blue in Arlington.
Texas Longhorns in the SEC Championship This Weekend
This weekend Texas has a rematch with Georgia and Quinn Ewers is expected to be the starter for the Longhorns. Arch has come in this season due to injuries and has played well in those situations. The future is bright for the Manning and his teammate Ewers is actually nominated for the Manning award.
The award goes to the best college quarterback in the country and it's pretty crazy that one day Arch could get an award that is named after his grandfather. Ewers could be the third Longhorn to win the award after Vince Young got in 2005 and Colt McCoy got it in 2009.
