Okay so I guess I've been living under a rock for the last nine months because I just found out today while surfing the interwebs that Sebastian Bach was almost the lead singer for Judas Priest.

Back in May, Sebastian Bach posted a pic of himself, Glenn Tipton and Dimebag Darrell's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney on his Facebook page along with this caption:

Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest, Rita @dimebagzhag & me at the Rainbow last night. Glenn & I talked about me almost being the singer of Judas Priest he told me it almost happened! Wow. What a great guy

I would assume that this was in the wake of Rob Halford quitting the band in '92 and must've happened before '96 when Tim "Ripper" Owens joined the band.

And to be perfectly honest with you, I can see it working except for the fact that Bas was still in Skid Row at the time and I don't know how well he could've balanced both bands without it affecting one if not both of the bands' writing/recording/touring cycles...but it would've been pretty cool to see him out front of the Priest.

To give us some sort of idea as to how Mr. Bach would've sounded with the band here's a video of Rob Halford jamming Judas Priest's classic "Delivering The Goods" with Skid Row back in what looks like the early 90's.

Makes me wonder what might've been.
