Angels & Airwaves have released their first new song since 2016. The video for “Rebel Girl” was revealed today via Rise Records and AVA have also announced their first tour in seven years.

“Rebel Girl” stays true to AVA’s synth pop style with classic Blink-182 catchiness. There’s no mistaking “Rebel Girl” for a Blink song, but Tom DeLonge’s unmistakable voice brings the track through a futuristic, yet familiar sound.

Angels & Airwaves will perform for the first time since 2012 by embarking on a month-long U.S. tour. The gigs will also be DeLonge’s first since he left Blink. Tickets will go on sale May 3 at noon local time.

“'Rebel Girl' is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music,” says DeLonge. “As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company, so you never know - I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”

DeLonge has kept busy writing books and spearheading To The Stars Academy, a research group dedicated to extraterrestrial activity and UFOs.
