Accident On Henry S. Grace Freeway Claims One Life, Sends Child To Fort Worth Hospital

The investigation continues into a fatal accident near Hatton Road yesterday afternoon.  Wichita Falls Police responded to a call at about 1:15 yesterday on Henry S. Grace Freeway, just above Hatton Road.  A white Lexus driven by 55 year-old Connie Spink had struck a guardrail.  A passenger, 2 year-old Lilyanna Escobedo, was ejected from the vehicle.  First responders had to use the jaws of life to remove Spink from the car.  Spink later died at United Regional from her injuries.  The toddler was flown to Cook’s Fort Worth Children’s Hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
