Looks like man will be having his date in court this week over an incident that happened back in 2024.

In case you do not remember the story of David Lee Codd from 2024, allow me to refresh your memory. Back on September 19, 2024. David allegedly called Barwise Middle School over an incident involving his son at the school. David apparently spoke to the assistant principal and at one point in the conversation said, 'I’ll come up there and kill everyone.'

David Arrested for Making a Terroristic Threat

David was charged with a third degree felony called "Terroristic Threat Impairing Public Service/Public Fear Serious Bodily Injury/Influence Government" This is when you're accused of threatening violence to cause fear of imminent serious bodily injury (SBI) to a group, interrupt public services (water, power, transit), or influence government agency actions. The school is considered a government agency in this instance.

David Receives Higher Bond After Purchasing Rifle Online

David bonded out of his original $50,000 bond for that charge the same day. Just a few days later, David attempted to purchase a Diamondback Model DB15 online to be shipped to local Wichita Falls shop on September 28th. David's call to the school happened on the 19th. District Attorney's asked for David to have higher bond claiming that his actions after getting out showed a threat to public safety. That higher bond was set at $800,000.

David Intends to Plead Guilty This Week to His Charges

According to Times Record News, David is due in court this Friday and according to court records he intends to plead guilty. We will wait and see what officially happens later on in the week.
