According to IGN.com, Warner Bros. officially announced today the casting of 27-year-old British actor Henry Cavill as the new Superman in the upcoming reboot directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan.  Cavill is known for his work in "The Tudors", "Stardust", and "The Count of Monte Cristo".
