Snookey and Firefly – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
Pets are not only an attractive accessory while you’re at the park, they’re also good for you. There’s a reason that some pets have a “job” and go to retirement homes – it’s because they’re therapeutic. Petting a cat or a dog can calm your nerves, bring down your blood pressure, and provide companionship. Personally I’m happiest when I have one of my cats hanging out in my lap or hanging out next to me when I’m doing something. Some pets don’t have a person to hang out with, and that’ where you can help.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an energetic puppy that loves kids to at cat who’s just as laid back and quiet as you are, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Snookey is a small, male, Standard Poodle mix. He’s an older guy, so he’s a little more relaxed than your average pup, but still gets excited to see you when you walk through the door. He loves people and taking walks, and would make the perfect companion. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and dewormed. Swing by today to see if Snookey is right for your household! He can’t wait to find his forever home!
I’ve featured Firely in the past, but I wanted to bring him up again because I’ve met this cat and he’s a sweetheart. He’s also been at the shelter for a while now. He’s an adult, male tabby cat who loves to hang out with you and get scratches, though he’s a little bashful at first. He’s neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. Stop by to meet Firefly and give him his forever home!
