If you have a pet you’ve probably noticed that he or she has a favorite spot. I have a cat who has several favorite spots, yet the perfect place to take a nap is oftentimes where I’ve been sitting. Especially if she gets the impression that I’ll be back. If I get up to grab a soda or do something during a commercial, it takes her about 15 seconds before she’s up from her previous spot and blissfully comfortable in mine. Every time that I move her out of the way she appears shocked. Not all pets have a favorite spot to call their own, and that’s where you come in.

The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.

May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.

Sassy Steed

Sassy Steed is a small, female, apricot and white Lhasa Apso mix. She’s just over 3-years-old, so she has some experience on how a lady should behave. She’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly, and she loves being around her people. She’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Sassy Steed is looking for a new home to call hers and can’t wait to find her favorite spot to take a nap. It might just be on your lap! Swing by to introduce yourself.

Lacey is a small, grey, female shorthair cat. She’s just over 4 months, so she still has a lot of that kitten energy and loves to play. She’s still exploring new things and loves a challenge, and she warms up quickly to people. On the other hand, she loves a good nap, especially in a sunny patch next to a window. She’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Lacey is just starting out and would love to explore the world with you. Stop by to say hi today!
