Poor little guys just want a home.

This past Tuesday was a cold one up north in Oklahoma. Thankfully someone found this box that was in a park in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The puppies have been taken to a nearby animal shelter. If you would like to adopt one of the puppies, contact the Pet Adoption League in Tulsa.

I would like to say this story has a happy ending, but two of the puppies have Parvo, a potentially deadly disease in puppies. One can't even lift his own head. The animal shelter has shared this story because animal abandonment has become a problem in Oklahoma.

Breanne Luiskutty who volunteers for the Pet Adoption League shares some of the horror stories of animal abandonment. "They take them out to the country, dump them out there in boxes and trash bags," Luiskutty said. "We had someone who saw a puppy get thrown out the window of a truck in a trash bag."

She recommends if you can't take care of your animal, to find a shelter that will. This way they have food and a bed. Hopefully one day, finding them a new home.
