‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ Re-Boot Movie in the Works

Go, go, Power Rangers! (insert awesome guitar solo). 

Have I been living under a rock? Am I the only one that did not know about this? News broke yesterday that Elizabeth Banks would be playing Rita Repulsa in a re-booted 'Power Rangers' movie. Which everyone started freaking out about. I was freaking out about the movie itself. I seriously had no idea. Some of the other cast had been announced in previous months.

You can check out the full lineup on the Power Rangers Movie Facebook page. I am actually super excited about this. If you grew up in the 90's, Power Rangers was life. I remember one of my favorite Halloween costumes was the Green Ranger and my favorite toy as a kid was my Dragonzord. It looks like this movie will be the Power Rangers of my childhood and not samurais, space, cars, dinosaurs or any of that other crap they have shipped out over the years.

I have one statement on this movie. I feel bad for Naomi Scott, who is cast as the pink ranger. She is going to get some unfair criticism because no one can compare to the original pink ranger. That was every boy's first crush. If you're within five years of my age, that's the truth. You can lie to yourself and say it wasn't. It was and we all know it. Love you Amy Jo Johnson, please marry me.
