The Humane Society of Wichita County has a big job, and along with it comes big expense. It’s not cheap to shelter, feed, care for, and get medicine to pets in the shelter. For this reason, they have fund raisers from time to time, and usually they’re a lot of fun.

On Friday, June 29th, the Humane Society will be hosting a Putts for Pets Golf Scramble at Champions Course at Weeks Park. They’ll have a full round of golf, driving range, snacks, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and prizes.

If that’s not fun, I’m not sure what is. Give me a beer, a golf cart, and some clubs, and I’m ready to tee off!

The event is being sponsored by Sullivan Toyota, and registration will begin around 12:30. The event will officially kick off at 1:00, and you can register before the day of the event. You’ll be competing as a four-person team, which is $400 for the group, or if you don’t want to golf, you can become a sponsor and simply donate to the scramble.

If you’d like more information or would like to be registered early, text or call Rachel at 940-867-3782. You can also email putts4pets@hotmail.com. There’s also more information on Facebook.

If you’re looking for a great time in the Falls, this is one to check out.
