Gabby and Orville – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
It can be difficult to get ourselves to the doctor sometimes, much less our pets. Yet their health is so important and regular check-ups should be on your list. Taking a pet into your home is much more than a bit of kibble each day, it’s a commitment with enormous reward. Remember to take your pet to the vet a couple of times a year to ensure he or she is doing just fine. Since pets can’t speak for themselves, they need a bit of extra care. Some pets don’t have someone fretting about their health every six months, and that’s where you come in.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Gabby is a medium size, female, white and orange short hair cat. She’s one-year-old, which makes her old enough to enjoy the finer things (such as taking a nap with you on the couch) but still loves to play. She loves exploring new places and things, and though she’s a little bit shy she warms up pretty quickly. She’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Gabby is looking for a new home and would love for you to swing by to meet her and hang out for a bit. You may have found your new best friend!
Orville is a medium size, black and white Labrador retriever mix. At one-and-a-half, he still has plenty of energy and is sure to get you moving! He loves playing fetch, hanging out with you while you watch TV, walks around the neighborhood, and gets along fairly well with other pets. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Orville can’t wait to find his forever home and is waiting for you to come by to introduce yourself!
