I know people don't believe video game addiction is a real thing, let this guy show you the sad reality of it all.

Video game addiction is actually something I did a speech on in college. You can make fun of it all you want, but people have actually died from it. Back in the day, some people playing 'World of Warcraft' forgot to eat food and drink water. They actually died from being so immersed in the game.

You can add this guy to that list and he has not disclosed his name so far. We just know he is from Siberia and is 28 years old. He bought one of the biggest games of the year, 'Fallout 4'. Which is a role playing game that can take an insane amount of time to complete. Honestly, you could probably play it forever and not see everything in the game.

This 28 year old had apparently been playing the game for three straight weeks. He skipped work, didn't sleep or eat, and ignored his friends. In that period as well his wife got fed up and left him.

“If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, I would have become a lot more wary of it,” read a statement from the gamer, who is now suing Bethesda Game Studios and the Russian localization firm for 500,000 roubles (around $7,000), claiming emotional distress. “I would not have bought it, or I would have left it until I was on holiday or until the New Year holidays,” he continued.
