'Star Wars' mania is running wild, but then I remembered. Weren't we supposed to be getting some other releases as well.

'The Force Awakens' came out this week and no, I have not seen it yet. Hoping to see it this Christmas weekend and I am avoiding spoilers like crazy. I am trying to binge watch the old movies before I see the new one and then I remembered. Weren't we supposed to get the entire saga in 3D?

I distinctly remember seeing 'The Phantom Menace' in 3D a couple of years ago. Yeah, I paid money to see 'The Phantom Menace' again. Damn you George Lucas! The only reason I did it though was because we were gonna get all the movies. All we got was the worst movie in the entire saga. Not only did I see 'Phantom Menace' back in 1999, I had to re-live all those terrible memories again in 2012.

The entire time I am watching the movie, I am saying to myself, "You're gonna be able to see Empire in the theaters again and in 3D." The 3D wasn't bad by the way. The pod racing scene was definitely the highlight.

From what I could find online, the plan was to release the movies yearly. I thought that was a mistake. They should have done what they did in 1996 with the re-releases and done a three month period for each trilogy. Maybe wait until 2013 though in hindsight. Do Episode 1-3 in 3D over the 2013 summer. Then do Episode 4-6 in the 2014 summer. Then make 2015 the year of 'The Force Awakens' which you can also see in 3D.

Nope that didn't happen, I am just stuck with seeing one movie in 3D and it was the crappiest one. If it was 'A New Hope', I wouldn't be complaining as much. Someone now has more 'Phantom Menace' money of mine and I am pissed.
