Did you try to watch the Mavericks game last night and it wasn't on? Well I have no idea why.

KJBO is Your Home for Some of the Dallas Mavericks Games

In case you're not a sports fan, the television agreement between the Mavericks/Stars/Rangers has been a s*** show to say the least between them and Bally Sports. I literally only pay for cable so I can watch all of my sports teams. Last night the Mavericks played a game at 6:30. I know this because Dallas Mavericks announcer Mark Followill tweeted this out before the game. Sweet, I can watch it in Wichita Falls on KJBO, no problem here. Until this happened.

I will note, I took this photo at 7:30 once I had missed the game FOR AN HOUR. Why did I miss the Mavericks game? KJBO was playing Law and Order SVU and then an episode of Friends. If this was f***ing 1998 that's a banger lineup for a Thursday night. However, when you have the rights to a live NBA broadcast. I think you can get more eyeballs on your television station than reruns of a show that went off the air LITERALLY two decades ago.

KJBO's Response to Why They Were Not Playing the Mavericks Game

Listen, I work in media. I know s*** messes up from time to time. So I called over there last night and I said, "Hey guys, you do know the Mavericks are on at 6:30 tonight and not 7:30, right?" The response I got next, I was not expecting.

No sir, we have a live look in to the arena right now and they're not playing a game, I think you're mistaken.

Maybe someone slipped some drugs into my water at the station because I thought I was going crazy at this moment. So I started asking my friends that live in Dallas if the game was on down there. They told me, yeah. Mavericks are playing the Hawks on WFAA in Dallas. What in the f*** are we doing Wichita Falls?!

I told KJBO literally go to the Mavericks website, the first thing you will see is this giant banner that says EARLY TIPOFF AT 6:30. I was once again told about the live look in, which at this point I knew was complete bulls***. Don't lie to me, just say. Hey, we messed up, we have to play this programming or whatever. Don't tell me the game isn't happening.

How I Watched the First Hour of the Mavericks Game

Please note the time in the screenshot above. Clearly getting updates on a game that KJBO believes does not exist. So what happened after Joey said 'How you doing?" on Friends for the millionth time. We join the Mavericks in the middle of the game in the second quarter.

Wichita Falls getting local TV rights to the Mavericks is a HUGE DEAL. Back in the day, if you didn't live in Dallas for the local broadcast. You didn't get the game. KJBO needs to figure this out for the rest of the season. Mavericks are in the middle of a playoff push and I would like to f***ing watch it.
