US Airways made one of the worst mistakes in Twitter history yesterday. They raised the stakes of corporate Twitter disasters to a whole new level when they accidentally posted a photo that was super hardcore porn.

Yesterday afternoon, a woman tweeted to US Airways saying, "You ruined my spring break, I want some free stuff."  So they tweeted her back an apology and a link to a photo of a woman...um....having relations with a toy airplane.

So, according to US Airways, here's how it happened.  Someone tweeted the photo to them earlier that day and someone from their social media department copied the link so they could send it to Twitter and have them delete the photo. But that person accidentally pasted the link into the response to the woman who tweeted them about her spring break being ruined.

There's no word if US Airways has fired the employee who posted the link. Yeah it was just a mistake, but as far as corporate social media mistakes go, it doesn't get much worse than this.
