The University of Kentucky seems to know how to have a good time, and for the past three years they’ve hosted the World’s Largest Water Balloon Fight. Their feat has once again made the record books, with the Guinness Book of World Records recognizing it as in fact being the largest water balloon fight on record.

With 11,622 people in attendance, chaos broke out when the clock struck midnight last Friday night. Students and the general public helped set the record, getting soaked and creating an experience that they won’t soon forget. Seeing a wide shot of the fight looks very similar to a concert setting, with participants jumping up and down and having fun.

Because back-to-school can be a stressful time, this seems like an ideal way to take some of the stress off of students. Just looking at Facebook I can tell that a few of my friends are a little freaked out about the start of the semester, and an activity like this would be a fantastic way to put aside those worries even if it was just for a few minutes.

Does this look like something you’d participate in?
