Since Hastings will be leaving us, I want Blockbuster to make a comeback.

If you were anything like me, Blockbuster was a huge part of your childhood. Many Friday afternoons were spent in this place. Remember Blockbuster always guaranteed to have the new release, if they didn't your rental was free. I would pick out a movie for myself, usually 'Surf Ninjas' or a 'Godzilla' movie. My parents would pick out something for them for after I went to bed.

Sadly Blockbuster faded away after Redbox and Netflix shipping movies took over. You thought they were gone forever, but then I got on Reddit today. Someone posted a photo of a Blockbuster in Harlingen, Texas still open and going strong. So I got curious, how many are still going?

Only 51 Blockbusters remain in our country and you thought they were lost forever. Granted, they look like they're only in rural areas. Texas is currently the Blockbuster mecca. With fourteen locations in our state. What's funny is half of them are just in El Paso. Looks like a road trip is in order so I can get some used video games.
